SEVEN PRINCIPLES AG continues its growth trajectory in 2018 and achieves a turnover of more than EUR 100 million

  • Turnover increased by 8.8 percent to EUR 101.6 million (2017: EUR 93.3 million)
  • Stabilisation in the profitability zone: Slightly positive group net profit of EUR 22 thousand (2017: EUR 0.4 million)
  • Record order intake of more than EUR 112 million achieved (2017: EUR 88 million)
  • Over 100 new customers acquired

Cologne, 17 April 2019. SEVEN PRINCIPLES AG (7P), a leading medium-sized IT consulting and system integration company in Germany, can look back on another year of strong growth. This is particularly evident in the turnover of EUR 101.6 million for the 2018 financial year, which surpassed the EUR 100 million threshold. Compared to the 2017 business year, this meant a growth in turnover of 8.8 percent, which hit the forecasted turnover of around EUR 100 million for the past year. On the earnings side, 7P achieved an EBIT increase of around 81 percent to EUR 0.7 million (2017: EUR 0.4 million) and a slightly positive net profit for the year of EUR 22 thousand (2017: EUR 0.4 million).

Both the business acquired in 2017 with DTS – Data Transition Services GmbH and the organic growth of SEVEN PRINCIPLES AG contributed to the increase in revenue. This resulted mainly from the significantly improved project order situation and a focus on addressing the SME sector. SEVEN PRINCIPLES has not only pushed ahead with projects with existing customers and received follow-up orders, but has also acquired new and internationally well known customers. SEVEN PRINCIPLES views this as confirmation that the company is focusing on a portfolio of offers that is proving persuasive with customers. These also show a clear satisfaction with the services provided by 7P. One example is the achievement of the highest Net Promoter Score among IT service providers in the supplier group of a large telecommunications company. A good result for this key figure stands for a high willingness to recommend the provider of a service to others.

At the product level, the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution from SEVEN PRINCIPLES developed well in 2018, offering companies comprehensive functions for the secure, transparent and efficient management of mobile end devices, applications and data. Unique selling points such as German-language support, customisation options and white labelling to sell the EMM solution under a customer’s brand create a good foundation for further growth with this product. In the current year, 7P is aiming for certification of the EMM solution by the Federal Office for Information Security. Such certification should make its use even more attractive for federal authorities, state authorities and municipalities.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES achieved a group net profit of EUR 22 thousand in 2018 and thus stabilised in the profitability zone (2017: EUR 0.4 million). Earnings were dragged down by a high turnover rate, the associated use of subcontractors plus expenses for the internal IT refresh that was continued as planned in 2018 and will be completed this year. The significantly positive annual result aimed at was therefore not achieved in the past business year.

Joseph Kronfli, CEO of SEVEN PRINCIPLES AG, explains: “Once again in 2018 we benefited from our clear positioning as a specialist in solutions for sustainable and digital transformation in companies. That allowed us to significantly increase sales and gain over 100 new customers. In addition, SEVEN PRINCIPLES enjoyed a record order intake of more than EUR 112 million in 2018. With that, we have laid a solid foundation that lets us look forward positively to the 2019 financial year. In the current year, in the spirit of the Plan-Build-Run concept, we would like to expand our service portfolio in IT consulting and be the long-term partner for our customers from the implementation to the running of a solution. With our managed services in particular, we are pursuing long-term customer relationships. In this way, we aim to increase the proportion of our total turnover that is generated by regularly recurring sales.”

For 2019, SEVEN PRINCIPLES is expecting revenue of more than EUR 100 million, significant improvements in EBIT and EBITDA, and a significantly positive annual result.
