The initial situation

The company is also responsible for the use of mobile phones and sees great potential in the use of smartphones and tablet PCs. It goes without saying that the banking sector places a very high value on IT security and flexibility. S IT Solutions Austria is supported in this by the introduction and integration of an MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution into the existing infrastructure.
The procedure
When integrating new technology into an existing infrastructure, comprehensive consulting and knowledge of the needs of companies in the respective sector are required. Based on this analysis, the code was also adapted to the customer’s specifications, further underlining Seven Principles’ customer focus.
The local representation of Seven Principles and its knowledge of European data protection standards are an advantage because Seven Principles’ solution complies with the regulations applicable in Austria in this sensitive area, eliminating the need for adaptation. Support for all common mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS, Windows Mobile and Symbian is further proof of the flexibility of 7P MDM. All devices provided can be managed uniformly. Over-the-air updates can also be rolled out. With the 7P MDM version, it is also possible to use the Microsoft operating system Windows Phone 8.
The result
s IT Solutions Austria currently uses 7P MDM to manage over 4,000 devices. With such a large number of devices, which are also used at different locations throughout Austria, the extensive remote configuration and management options are particularly important. This allows users to be supported remotely by installing updates or updating configurations. If a device is lost, it can be locked and all data on it deleted. Automatic measures can also be defined if a different SIM card is inserted into a device. One of the most important features of 7P MDM, for example, is its support for black/whitelists, as this allows security-threatening apps to be banned and secure apps to be flagged. s IT Solutions Austria also makes use of the comprehensive reporting options.
In addition to consulting services, local support, multi-client capability and coverage of all mobile operating systems used, the price-performance ratio was a particularly important decision-making criterion. In the future, additional features of 7P MDM will be integrated into the existing solution step by step. Since the solution is continuously being developed and incorporates customer feedback, investment protection is also guaranteed.
